The Connection

With the prospect of Mike D’Abo emigrating to Florida and the end of gigs with his ‘Mighty Quintet’, ‘quins’ Steve Degutis (guitar & vocals), Owen Howell (drums) and Dik (bass & vocals) decided to form The Connection. Adding Glyn Durban (guitar & vocals), their aim was to keep the momentum going, playing classic rock, pop, soul, blues and reggae in pubs, at parties and festivals around the Gloucestershire/Wiltshire area. Having built up a solid circuit over a number of years, Owen decided to move on and has been replaced with the excellent Stroud-based drummer Mick Candler.
